Mindstorms Robotics Invention System 2.0
by LEGO
Description:
From LEGO:
You design and program real robots that do what you want them to. With the Robotics Invention System 2.0 , the core set of the LEGO MINDSTORMS product range, you can create everything from a light-sensitive intruder alarm to a robotic rover that can follow a trail, move around obstacles, and even duck into dark corners.
The key to this new invention system is the revolutionary LEGO RCX, a programmable microcomputer that acts as the brain of your robotic inventions. My kids (and I) love this kit. You can spend hours and hours creating and perfecting new robots. The software was easy to use. My 10 year old didn't have any trouble learning it. Its a lot like the kit my oldest child uses for the First Lego League. Although I think the First kit has a few more parts. If you can get your child in the First Lego League do it. Its lots of fun and educational. The whole program is well put together. You can find out more at: http://www.firstlegoleague.org
