by Toro
|
Description: From Toro
Change who mows - with the Toro iMow Robotic Mower. This innovative, hands-free mowing system operates by itself to give you a clean-cut yard and better yet, more free time. The ultimate combination of Toro landscape technology together with proven home robotics technology, the Toro iMow will give you the time and freedom to do other things while it safely mows up to 5,000 square feet of grass.
|
The Toro iMow has a 21" mulching deck, using three 7" blades to cut and re-cut your lawn, forming rich mulch and an always-groomed look. The mower is surrounded, 360 degrees, by safety touch-sensitive bumpers, so it will reverse itself when coming in contact with objects in it's path. Powered by a rechargeable 24-volt battery, the Toro iMow eliminates the
need for gas and oil and is emission-free. These phenomenal qualities mean less noise and less maintenance. Finally, a 3-year warranty and 60-day satisfaction guarantee stand behind every unit. Translation: More peace and relaxation for you.
Key Features:
- Battery Operated
- 21" Mulching Deck
- Safety Bumpers
- Manual Controller- Making it easy (and fun?) to move it around.

This mower really is a time saver. Gives me time to get more done while it mows. It doesn't do an absolutely perfect job on the lawn, but I'm more than satisfied. My only wish was that it was a bit quicker.

Good mower for the grass but please use caution. Do not use if you have outside pets. It chased my cat and mowed right over it's head!! I did salvage some fur for my wife's coat she is making. She was happy but my son was very sad. Now, our 2 yr old boy just watches Oscar pass by (that 's the name we give our mower) and cries, "Cat killer!" It is hard to watch but shure beats pushing the old mower. If you have stray cats, that is one way to get rid of them! Conclusion: great mower, caution!

I have over an acre and was worried that the 5000 square foot limit would make the iMow unworkable. I simply set up 6 zones and move the battery powered perimeter switch to the zone that I want to cut. I share wires between zones to minimize the wire needed (extra wire was purchased at the local hardware store). I did get an extra battery and external charger so that I can cut two zones a day. That was pricey, but worth it. The mower quietly cuts the zone while the neighbors and I sit and watch.

I have owned the imow for about 4 weeks now and am really impressed! It mows while I do other chores arround the house or yard. I often put it to work while I cook dinner in the house. You do need to put it out daily in a different plot if you want the yard to look great. I have 3 plots since I have a large back yard. I dont use it in the front since that plot would be too small and is easily done once a week with the gas poluter.
